SEP (LAND) RATING

  1. What are the course requirements?

    • The applicant for the course shall meet the following requirements to be eligible for enrolment
    • Hold at least current PPL(A) issued in accordance with Part-FCL, - hold at least current Class 2 medical in accordance with MED.A.030 (a) and (c).

  2. Course description

    The aim of the course is to prepare the applicant for the issue of SEP(Land) airplane class rating in accordance with the requirements of Part-FCL. 

    The SEP(Land) CR course consists of two parts:
    • theoretical knowledge instructions
    • flight instruction

    The SEP(Land) CR theoretical instruction programme consists of the following subjects:

    • Aircraft General Knowledge (AGK) as set out in PPL(A) theoretical course programme, including normal and abnormal operation of the systems;
    • Flight Performance and Planning (FPL) sections Performance and Flight Planning as set out in PPL(A) theoretical course programme.

    Theoretical instruction elements covered during the flight instruction phase as long briefings

    • General information and limitations applicable to training aeroplane type
    • Normal and abnormal operation of the systems applicable to training aeroplane type
    • Emergency procedures
    • Weight and balance
    • Servicing
  3. Course duration

    30 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction of which:
    • 24 hours of classroom training
    • 6 hours of long briefings
